Day 3: Georgetown - Batu Ferringhi

Our breakfast was at Town Dim Sum at Macalister Road. I especially love their char siew bao, the meat was very juicy and melt in the mouth. Egg tart was pretty good too. Only the har gao can't make it as the skin was very very thick, a nice har gao must have a translucent skin.

Next we went to Line Clear to take away some nasi kandar for our lunch. The Line Clear Nasi Kandar is also situated in the alley hehehe... Mom asked me how I get to know all these obscure places.. yeah it's the power of internet.

Line Clear Nasi Kandar

Must try!! Even Anthony Bourdain came here.

Line Clear Restaurant, open 24 hours 7 days a week.
Who's who that has been to Line Clear.
Too many choices...

Huge fish heads, they are bigger than my hand.

In the end I chose something safe... fried chicken with long beans and bean sprouts. Gravy was packed separately.Overall it was pretty good, I don't mind coming here again to try out other dishes.

After this we went back to the hotel to check out, tonight we were going to stay at Hard Rock Hotel in Batu Ferringhi.

Hard Rock Hotel

It's a very stylish hotel... glad that we made the right choice. :)

The bathroom

It's a peekaboo bathroom.

View from the room

The pool area

The ground floor rooms have direct access to the pool. I think it's a good and bad thing. You don't want to be waken up by the screaming kids at the pool.

Our daughter had so much fun with the slides.. she kept laughing and said "Funny funny.."

The spa

Forget the beach.. there's more fun at the pool hehe..

For dinner, we went to a seafood restaurant nearby the hotel. I couldn't find any recommendation so we randomly chose one. Too bad that now I have completely forgotten the name but it's located opposite a mosque at Batu Ferringhi road. What a great meal.. we had 9 bowls of rice for 4 adults + 1 kid. :P

Damn nice sambal kangkung, the best I ever tried.

Home made tofu in pumpkin sauce.

Another highlight: fried chicken with marmite. It's so good that my mom wanted to know how to cook this.
