Ku-ring-gai Chase National park which is only half an hour drive from Sydney is a perfect destination for a relaxing day trip. We had lots of fun driving around the national park and lucky enough to meet some of the local inhabitants.
Our first stop was Kalkari Discovery Centre where we saw cockatoos, lorikeets, turkeys and even kangaroos.

Our next stop was Bobbin Head, about 10 minutes drive from Kalkari. Bobbin Head is a picnic area near the water with full facilities like restaurants, playground, camping area and paddle boat rental.

From Bobbin Head it was a long 30 minutes drive to Akuna Bay Marina. Nothing much to do here except admiring those expensive yachts.

We continued driving up north till we reached our final stop, the West Head Lookout. The lookout provides a sweeping view of Broken Bay.
