Day 4: Edinburgh - Roslin - Edinburgh - Glasgow

Express Holiday Inn
We talked to the manager and told him that we had to check out today instead of tomorrow. And surprisingly, he refunded us that one unused night. I couldn't believe this!! We had so much luck on this trip, first the upgraded rail ticket and then this. I felt so blessed. :)

Roslin
Roslin is about 45 minutes from Edinburgh by bus. This is the location of Rosslyn Chapel featured in Da Vinci code. We were so disappointed when we reached there, the church was completely refurbished. It wasn't a pretty sight.

The chapel surroundings, it wasn't as beautiful as in the movie.

We only stayed in Roslin for about 15 minutes and back to Edinburgh city center. The main street was full of people doing last minute Christmas shopping. We managed to go to a few shops before it was closed for the day at 5 pm. There were a lot of sales, huge sales with 50% and above, but it was still too expensive when converting it to SGD. It was time for us to depart for Glasgow.

Glasgow
When we reached there, the streets were already deserted. We just had to spend our Christmas eve in the hotel room watching TV.
